Fisher And Attorney Answer Pacman Questions

Titans Coach Jeff Fisher said during a Friday press conference that Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones will not workout with his teammates next week.

While Fisher held the press conference to address issues of free agents, the first question asked centered Jones.

"As an organization, it's always been our policy to gather facts, and to make sure that we have all the information, and that's what we're doing," Fisher said.

Fisher emphatically said Jones won't work out with the team next week but danced around questions relating to wiretapped phone conversations and statements that implied Jones tried to get around NFL drug tests.

"I'm familiar with how the policy works, and the policy is confidential," Fisher said.

Meanwhile, Jones' attorneys spoke to sports fans on the radio program 104.5 the Zone and said the 23 year old is guilty of immaturity but nothing criminal.

"You have foolish loyalty tough guy thing going, and at some point , you're 23 now, you've got a lot of money, you've got to recognize who you are. You've go to recognize who you're affiliated with," Jones' Attorney Manny Arora said.

Attorneys expect Jones to be cleared in the Vegas triple shooting case and said the allegations Jones started a fight and knew the shooter were ridiculous.

"For him to be involved in a melee with one arm...I suppose anything's possible...but those stitches would have been torn and there would be medical reports everywhere," Arora said.

Jones is still lying low, taking the advice of his attorneys to stay away from the wrong crowd and the media.

Fisher wished he could avoid the negativity as well, and was ready to move on to the action on the field.

Fisher said that neither Jones nor his agent told him about the felony charges that resulted from an alleged confrontation with a police officer last year in Georgia.

The NFL said it is in the rules that a player must inform the team in such a situation, but there are no rules laying out any type of punishment or consequence the player earns if it does not happen.

Jones will not work out with the team starting on March 19. He will be in court in Georgia on the obstruction charges while his teammates begin off-season workout practice.

Jones has been linked to at least 10 different criminal incidents since becoming a Titan two years ago. In most cases, the charges were dropped.
