Pacman Speaks About Commissioner Meeting

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones spoke Wednesday for the first time since his most recent legal troubles stemming from a shooting in a Las Vegas nightclub.

Jones sat down in an interview with former NFL star Deion Sanders, who is now a broadcaster for the NFL Network. The interview aired Wednesday night, a day after Jones met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell about his recent off-the-field troubles.

He told Sanders, his childhood idol, that he was nervous when he met with Goodell.

Jones could face harsh punishment from the commissioner. Some predict even a year suspension. Gene Upshaw, head of the NFL Players' Union, said it definitely would not be a lifetime suspension.

Jones faces felony charges in Georgia, which he did not report to the NFL. He also faces a probation violation in Murfreesboro in addition to the most recent Las Vegas case.

Jones was present a Las Vegas strip club where three people were shot in February.

Las Vegas Metro police recommended charges against Jones for his alleged involvement in inciting a mêlée at the club. The district attorney has not gone forward with charges and asked for further investigation.

Jones' lawyers and his mother have always said blamed his friends for being a bad influence on him; they influenced him to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Jones has been involved in 10 separate legal situations in the past 2 years.

Jones said much of the same to Sanders.

"People I was hanging around. I have made some bad decisions. I live and I learn. But I can promise you that I am on the right track. I have made horrible decisions as far as picking who I am with or where I am going places with," Jones said.

The NFL commissioner was expected to make a decision on Jones within 10 days of their meeting and before the NFL draft, April 28-29.
