Tax Free Shopping Underway

It's the kind of shopping trip parents dream about.  As of Friday morning, the sales tax holiday was in full swing.

This year the state added this tax-free holiday weekend because the state had extra money in the budget. This weekend shoppers will save about ten bucks for every hundred dollars.

The free tax applies to clothes, school supplies and computers.

The clothes and school supplies have to cost $100  or less and computers must cost less than $1,500.

Computer purchases must include an entire system. A tax break will not be applied to separate part purchases.

The tax free holiday ends this Sunday.
