Pacman Jones is no longer appealing his year-long suspension from the National Football League.more>>
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Las Vegas police plan to meet with prosecutors Wednesday, hoping information developed in recent weeks would be enough to move forward with charges against Adam "Pacman" Jones of the Tennessee Titans.
It's all the result of a February melee inside a Las Vegas strip club.
Investigators have not been able to prove a link between the scuffle and a shooting moments later that left a club employee paralyzed and two other people wounded outside the club.
Police said in March they would seek felony coercion and misdemeanor threat and battery charges against Jones stemming from the incident inside the Minxx club.
Police have described Jones as "an inciter" of the altercation inside the club. A dancer attempted to grab money that was being showered onstage, and the club owner has said Jones attacked her and threatened to kill a bouncer who intervened.
Prosecutors have asked officers to gather further evidence.
On Tuesday, Jones dropped his appeal of a season-long suspension from the NFL.
