Crime Of The Week - 6/26/2007

NASHVILLE - Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $1000 cash for clues that lead to the arrest and conviction of three suspect invloved in a robbery at the Exxon station on Dickerson Road in east Nashville.

Officials said that a man was vacuuming his car at the Exxon gas station at 3144 Dickerson Road near Interstate 65 around 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 when two men surprised him from behind. 

One suspect allegedly aimed a pistol at the man while the other suspect stood lookout. Officials said they robbed the man and ran to a car across the street driven by the third suspect. They drove in the direction of Maplewood High School.

The get-away vehicle was described as a tan or gold Chevrolet Lumina or Impala. 

Officials said the first man was a male black, about five feet six inches tall and about 150 pounds. He was about 17-20 years old and wore a grey shirt, jean shorts and a white cap. 

The second man was also a male black who was about five feet seven inches tall and about 225 pounds. He was 20-25 years old and wore a blue shirt and blue jean shorts.

No description of the driver was available.

The robbery was caught by surveillance cameras. 

Anyone with information that might help Metro Police solve this case should call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. If the arrest results in the arrest and prosecution, you could be eligible for a cash reward of $1000.

Crime stoppers will also pay up to $1000 for clues called in to 74-CRIME on any other major crime, wanted person, stolen property or drugs. Callers remain anonymous, they will only be known by the code number they are issued.
