The controversial Bill Heard Chevrolet chain faces a lawsuit filed by the state of Georgia over its questionable sales practices.
The company recently shut down its Antioch dealership. That came after "NewsChannel 5 Investigates" exposed shady deals that were taking advantage of customers.
Now, Georgia authorities say a fake recall notice -- sent to thousands of customers -- is the latest in a string of questionable gimmicks.
The lawsuit says, "the Recall Notice was intended and designed to mislead recipients into believing that their automobiles were subject of an urgent recall, so that the recipients would call Bill Heard's sales staff."
