Bruce Mendenhall of Albion, Ill., has implicated himself in several homicides. Here's a look at where the bodies were found and when.
Jan. 29, 2007: Police in Suwanee, Ga., found the body of Deborah Ann Glover behind a motel, near a truck stop. Feb. 26, 2007: Authorities found the body of 43-year-old Sherry Drinkard in Lake Station, Ind. June 6, 2007: The body of Symantha Winters was discovered in Lebanon in a trash can at a Pilot travel center. June 26, 2007: The body of Sara Hulbert was found at a TravelCenters of America truck stop in Nashville. July 1, 2007: The body of Lucille Carter was found in Birmingham. Authorities also said Mendenhall may be connected to a homicide in Indianapolis, where there is a case that has similarities to other homicides linked to the 56-year-old truck driver. Investigators in Indianapolis said the body of a woman who they believe was killed has still not been found.
There is also the possibility that he could be involved in the 2005 death of 24-year-old Jennifer Smith. Her body was discovered along Interstate 40 in Hickman County. Investigators will compare DNA and other evidence, trying to determine if there's a link in that case or others.
