Man Found Shot To Death Outside Apartment

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A resident of a South Nashville apartment complex found a fellow resident shot to death in the parking lot Saturday morning.

Metro police said that Victor Hugo Mendez, 25, lived in the Sunrise Complex at 189 Wallace Road.

Police said a resident leaving for work Saturday morning saw Mendez lying in the parking lot. Mendez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police they heard a gunshot around midnight and saw Mendez lying in the parking lot, but they didn't call police.
