Tour The NewsChannel 5 Studios

Thank you for your interest in touring NewsChannel 5! We are happy to offer group tours of our station for a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the world of television news.

Because of the large number of inquiries, we ask that you note our guidelines before requesting a tour for your group...  


  • Tours are conducted on Mondays between 1:30 and 3:00 p.m. and Tuesdays between 12:30 and 3:00 p.m..
  • We ask that you limit your group size to no more than 12
  • Tours generally last about an hour
  • Student tours are reserved for journalism/mass communication students 7th grade and higher and should be requested by an instructor
  • Due to limited parking spaces, those attending the tour are asked to not to use NewsChannel 5 employee parking lot.  Metered street parking is available both in front and behind the station.  
  • Boy/Girl Scout groups may be accommodated on weekends, time permitting.  
    Guidelines for scout groups are as follows:
    -Scouting tours are available for scouts in 3rd grade and up
    -Due to space constraints, scout groups are limited to 16 people, including parents
    -While parents may accompany a scout, we request no siblings
    -Scout tours are scheduled by appointment only and
      generally begin at 9:15 a.m. on Saturdays
