The head of the nation's largest veterans group has issued a call to action over nursing home care for vets across the country.
This was his reaction to a NewsChannel 5 investigation of the Tennessee State Veterans Homes.
Paul Morin, the commander of the American Legion, told delegates gathered for the Legion's annual convention in Reno yesterday that our stories showed "something we never want to see."
He said he was outraged by the continuing problems with patient care that NewsChannel 5 exposed at the state-run nursing homes for veterans -- including the one in Murfreesboro.

Morin's comments came after the American Legion gave its annual Fourth Estate Award to the "Newschannel 5 Investigates" unit for its coverage of the Tennessee State Veterans Home.
