(AP) JACKSON, Tenn. - A minority partner in the Nashville Sounds baseball franchise has put together a deal to buy the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx in Jackson.
Reese Smith III said he and other Nashville-area investors have agreed to buy the Southern League team.
Smith didn't disclose other details of the sale agreement, which the Diamond Jaxx confirmed in a statement.
Current owner Dave Lozinak has been trying to sell the team after Minor League Baseball turned down his attempt to move it from Jackson.
The Diamond Jaxx are a AA team.
