CHRISTMAS CHEESE SPREAD
6 oz Roquefort cheese
1 (10 oz) jar Cheddar cheese spread
12 oz cream cheese
2 T minced onion
1/2 c minced parsley
1 t Worcestershire sauce
1 c finely chopped pecans
1/2 t cayenne pepper (optional)
Let the Roquefort cheese, Cheddar cheese and cream cheese stand at room temperature for 8 hours or longer to soften. Combine the cheeses with the onion, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, pecans and cayenne pepper in a bowl and mix well. Serve with baguette rounds.
Serves 12 to 15
HOLIDAY CRANBERRY DRINK
2 c cranberry juice cocktail
2-1/2 c unsweetened pineapple juice
1/2 c water
1/3 c packed brown sugar
1/2 t each ground cloves & ground allspice
3 cinnamon sticks
Garnish: Cinnamon sticks
Combine the cranberry juice cocktail, pineapple juice, water and brown sugar in a saucepan and mix well. Stir in the cloves and allspice and add the cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Pour into mugs, discarding the used cinnamon sticks. Garnish with fresh cinnamon sticks.
