GREENVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Seven people are dead after storms across Kentucky and Governor Beshear has declared a state of emergency.
The governor is flying to tour some of the hardest hit areas in south-central and western Kentucky to survey the damage.
Intense thunderstorms late Tuesday and into Wednesday have resulted in widespread power outages and damage to homes and businesses.
Kentucky Division of Emergency Management spokesman Buddy Rogers said four people died in Allen County near the Tennessee border.
