School Closures Because Of Storm Damage


NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A few school districts in southern Kentucky and Tennessee will close Thursday in the wake of severe storms that rushed through the region Tuesday night.

Public schools in Hardin and Macon counties in Tennessee will be closed.

Public schools in Monroe and Muhlenberg in Kentucky also will be closed Thursday. Monroe County Schools are closed because there isn't electricity in some schools.

St. Pius X School will be closed; there will not be any extended care available.

Tennessee Technology Center in Hartsville will also be closed because of no electricity.

Pinewood Elementary School in Williamson County will also be closed Thursday because of lack of electricity.
