LAFAYETTE, Tenn. (AP) -- State emergency officials are reporting another fatality from storms and tornadoes in Macon County in Tennessee.
The total number of deaths in Tennessee has increased to 32, including 14 in Macon County, about 60 miles northeast of Nashville.
Tennessee Emergency Management Agency spokeswoman Lauren McPherson said state officials did not yet have any details on the latest victim.
Macon County has been the hardest-hit area in the state in a line of fatal storms that have killed at least 57 people across the South.
