LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- The National Weather Service estimates that 21 tornadoes hit Kentucky during severe storms that swept through the state.
Weather service meteorologist Joe Ammerman said Friday's estimate could go up. The National Weather Service is examining damage areas in Clark and Fayette counties to see if they may have been hit, too.
The weather service says twisters touched down in several counties across the state.
A total of seven people died in the Kentucky storms.
