Volunteers Needed In Macon Co. Cleanup

LAFAYETTE, Tenn. - Volunteers are needed to help in the cleanup of private property in Macon County.

Anyone who wishes to help should meet at Macon County Junior High School, 1003 Highway 52 Bypass East, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

They can also call 615-666-9367.

According to Macon County Emergency Management Agency, residents who burn storm debris should separate plastics and oil-based products from construction debris to limit air pollution.

Items not burned can be taken to the debris staging area on Carter Branch Road.
