NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The former Warren County teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student had a parole hearing Wednesday morning, but Pamela Rogers returned to the Tennessee Prison for Women.
The probation hearings officer recommended to the parole board that Rogers not be released and that her next chance for parole to be in 2014.
Rogers, a former blonde beauty queen and teacher at Centertown High School, now has long brown hair.
Rogers and her attorneys asked the officer for an early release from her eight-year sentence. That request was denied and the recommendation now goes to the full parole board.
In 2005, Rogers was sentenced to nine months in jail for having sex with a then 13-year-old student after pleading no contest. After being released on probation, Rogers was barred from contacting the student and his family.
The former Centertown Elementary School teacher was sent back to jail after she ignored the judge's orders and sent revealing pictures of herself to the same boy and posted messages to him on MySpace.
The second time around Rogers pled guilty to sexual exploitation of a minor.
Rogers is currently serving her eight-year term in a state prison.
