Hadley Park Murder Victim Identified

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro police said the man found shot to death at Friday morning in Hadley Park is identified Anton S. Irvin.

Surveillance video showed the 23-year-old man in his van follow an older model Chevrolet Lumina into the park, according to a Metro police news release.

About three minutes later, the Lumina left the park with its lights off. Police said it had a loud engine.

Witnesses heard gunshots and called police. 

Police found Irvin outside his van with multiple gunshot wounds. 

He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Police said his criminal history includes convictions on charges of cocaine possession for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
