NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A Davidson County grand jury indicted a security guard on second-degree murder charges for the shooting death of a man in a shopping center parking lot.
Jeremy Holmes, 28, who was on duty at the time, has been accused in the May 16 death of Adam Villegas, 34.
Investigators have quoted Holmes as saying he felt threatened by Villegas who was in his car and refused orders to get out of the vehicle.
Police said Holmes was trying to clear the parking lot when the two began arguing.
Officers also said the guard felt threatened by Villegas' moving car.
