Mt. Juliet Officer Indicted By Grand Jury

MT. JULIET, Tenn. - A grand jury has indicted a Mt. Juliet police officer accused of strangling a man during a traffic stop.

Dash cam video shows Officer Bill Cosby with his hands around the throat of James Anders, Jr. during a traffic stop.

Cosby told investigators he believed Anders had marijuana in his mouth.

A Wilson County grand jury indicted Cosby on assault Thursday. Cosby also faces charges of perjury for allegedly filing a false report in the incident.

Sheriff's deputies have not been able to serve Cosby with the warrant. Cosby was providing disaster relief in New Orleans with the National Guard.
