Crime Of The Week: Sept. 23


NASHVILLLE, Tenn. - Crime Stoppers is trying to help Metro police capture a man wanted in several robberies.

The latest happened at an adult business on Nolensville Road. It was caught on tape.

Police said the suspect has pretty distinctive features.

Police said the robber captured on surveillance video tried to intimidate the clerk. The crime happened at 8 p.m. Sept. 3 at the Lion's Den, an adult business in South Nashville.

Police said he approached the counter, ordered the clerk to lie on the ground before they grabbed money. The suspect then ran out of the store.

Surveillance video shows marks on the back of the robber's neck. Police think someone may recognize the man because of them.

A witness told police the robber was a black man about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He weighed about 180 pounds.

He wore a blue T-shirt, red shorts and a multi-colored fishing hat.

If anyone knows who they are or has information about the robbery, call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

The information could be worth up to $1,000 cash.
