A former Tigerbelle's million dollar donation to TSU was a highlight of homecoming. Likewise the football team is trying to cash in and OVC title.
The pomp and circumstance of homecoming can't mask the importance of Tennessee State's game against Tennessee Tech. The Tigers were looking for their first OVC title since 1999.
Javarris Williams opened the scoring for Tennessee State. He threw three picks last week, this week the first score came from a nine yard run, making the score 7-0 Tigers.
But the Eagles tied the game with a 70- yard drive tying the game at 7-7. However, by halftime, the Tigers had a nice lead with a score of 21-7.
The Tigers rolled on to a big win, 41-14.
