NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Jon Hager, of "Hee Haw"'s Hager Twins died in his sleep Thursday night, at the age of 67

Hager's identical twin brother, Jim Hager died in May.

The Hagers were original cast members of the hit show "Hee Haw", which poked fun at country living.

The Hager Twins were two of television's most popular stars for several decades.

The men lived and worked together.

"They were always quick with a joke, and never met a stranger. Outgoing and accessible, Jim and Jon Hager were part of what makes Nashville known as America's friendliest city," said family friend Adam Dread.

Born in Chicago, the brothers were also guitarists and drummers.

The memorial service is not yet announced.

"Hee Haw" show was taped at NewsChannel 5 until 1980. The show became a network hit and was a highly successful syndicated program.
