Not Your Grandma's Lasagna
Ingredients Meat Filling Ingredients
1 Green Pepper 2 Eggs
1 White Onion 1 Cup Parmesan
2 lbs Ground Buffalo 1 lb Dry Lasagna Noodles
2 lbs Ground Beef 3 Lbs Ricotta
2 Cups Marinara 2 Tbs Basil
1 Tsp Fresh Garlic 2 Tbs Parsley
1 Tbs Kosher Salt 2 Cups Motts
1 Tbs Fresh Ground Black Pepper 1 Cup Marinara
1 Tbs Garlic Powder
1 Tbs Onion Powder
1/3 Cup Fresh Chopped Basil
2 Tbs Fresh Chopped Oregano
Dice up and Sautee peppers and onions for 5 minutes or until tender add fresh Garlic, buffalo, ground beef and all other spices and cook until all beef is browned then drain and dump into mixing bowl and mix in the marinara sauce. The Marinara Sauce can be your choice of brand but remember to add 2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp dried basil and oregano.
In a large bowl add 3lbs ricotta cheese, 2 eggs, 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, 2 tbs Fresh chopped Basil and fresh parsley mix thoroughly.
Layer the bottom of the pan with lasagna noodles then add all the meat mixture add another layer of pasta then spread the cheese mixture evenly across the pan and add another layer of pasta and topped that with 1 cup of marinara and 2 cups of shredded motts cheese wrap with plastic wrap and aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1hr and 20 minutes pull out of oven let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
