Police Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects

LAVERGNE, Tenn. - New information was released Tuesday morning about a search for three suspects accused of two armed robberies Monday. Police now have two men in custody.

Metro police said they believe Raymond Hazzard, Cesar Luna and another suspect held up a pregnant woman with a knife and a fake AK 47 as she walked home from a Mapco convenience store in Antioch around 1 a.m. Monday.

Then, a short time later, police said the three suspects robbed a BP gas station in LaVergne.

Shortly after that robbery, a LaVergne officer spotted the suspects in a SUV. After a two county police chase, the suspects started throwing money out of the SUV windows before crashing the vehicle in an Antioch subdivision and running off.

Police arrested Raymond Hazzard after the crash at the Matlock Condominiums in Antioch Monday morning. Police later arrested Cesar Luna. Both men face robbery and evading arrest charges.

Tuesday morning, the other suspect was still on the loose.
