1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow butter cake mix
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 eggs, divided
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
4 cups powdered sugar, divided
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine cake mix, butter and 1 egg. Stir until mixture is the consistency of cookie dough. Press into the bottom of a 13x9-inch baking dish and set aside. In bowl of an electric mixer, combine cream cheese, remaining eggs and 3 cups of powdered sugar. Beat at medium speed until creamy. Pour over cookie dough. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and place on a wire rack. Sprinkle with remaining powdered sugar. Let cool completely, then refrigerate at least 3 hours. Cut into bars or squares to serve. Yield: 12 servings.
