Those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country were honored this Memorial Day in Williamson County with a display of flags.

The Nashville-Franklin Elks Lodge and Post 48-92 placed 500 flags on graves at Williamson Memorial Garden for the men and women who never returned from their service.

Similar flag displays were also created in Madison, Mt. Juliet, and Murfreesboro.
