NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTF) — The death of a 17-year old who fell from a moving truck has been classified as a homicide and four men have been charged in the case.
Metro Nashville Police officials say last September Gunnar Scragg coordinated with three other men to rob Miles Hunter in the Hermitage Wal-Mart parking lot.
During the alleged robbery, police say Scragg sped off while Hunter was hanging off the running board and punched Hunter until he fell. The truck ran over the teen and all four suspects took off. Hunter died six days later
The three other men included were 22-year-old William Hemphill, 21-year-old Nicholas Allen Parker and 20-year-old Ethan Oakley.
Nearly six months of investigation into the September 2018 death of 17-year-old Miles Hunter led to Friday’s return of a sealed felony murder and aggravated robbery indictment against four young adults.
Scragg's bond was set by a Criminal Court judge at $100,000. Oakley posted a $100,000 bond and was released. Hemphill and Parker posted $30,000 bonds and were also released.
