GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man is behind bars after allegedly threatening to kill a Goodlettsville police officer and his family.
According to court documents, the officer found Jordan Lockett sleeping in his vehicle while it was running in a parking lot on Rivergate Parkway before 4 a.m. Sunday. The officer saw a loaded AR-15 magazine right next to Lockett.
The officer says he smelled like alcohol. He was slurring his words and crying hysterically. The officer said Lockett failed a field sobriety test. He admitted to the officer he'd taken two shots of vodka at Silverado's Sports Bar earlier.
After arresting Lockett, the officer found marijuana and an open pint of tequila in the car. The officer took Lockett into custody without incident. While in the back of a patrol car, he became violent and threatened the officer.
At the hospital while he was getting his blood drawn, the officer said Lockett mouthed to him, "I will kill you and your family."
Lockett was charged with DUI out of Sumner County in July 2016. He's now facing a new DUI charge, as well as possession of a controlled substance, retaliation for past action and open container. He's being held in the Davidson County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
