NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The next time a driver needs an oil change, Maplewood High School may be the place to go.

It’s one of the only high schools in the nation with a fully operational retail garage, and that has all been part of a collaboration with Bridgestone Americas.

Students have been set to learn the ins and outs of working in a Firestone Auto Care Center.

They'll rotate tires, change oil, and even give cars alignments.

It's hands-on training that'll has been known to go a long way in preparing them for a career after high school.

“My kids will leave school ASE certified, which is the highest certification at technician can get in the automotive industry,” said T.J. Williams, Maplewood’s automotive teacher. “They will be ready to go, turn a wrench, and make an honest living.”

Bridgestone Americas donated $300,000 to retro-fit the facility at the school to resemble one of its Firestone stores.
