A Hendersonville man has been accused of assaulting a female patient in an ambulance.
Samuel Rutherford was charged with sexual battery by an authority figure.
He was employed by a private ambulance company to transport the patient from the Nashville area to Kentucky.
According to warrants, he turned off the cabin light and placed a backpack between the woman and the cabin and her access to the rear of the ambulance.
The woman told police he then placed his genitals on the woman's mouth, which Rutherford also confessed to police.
