NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A year ago this week the Belmont doubles team of Marko Ilic and Hendrik Inno reached the round of 16 at the NCAA Championships. The All-American duo set the stage for what was supposed to be the best season in TEAM history in 2020.

And even with the season getting cut short, this Curtain Call honors all that the team had already accomplished in a most promising start to the year.

Ilic and Inno had risen to no. 8 in the nation in doubles, and Ilic had won 10 straight singles matches. He was tied with Felix Rauch and Taisei Miyamoto for the team lead with 11 total singles victories.

All three projected as All-OVC selections for the 11-3 Bruins, who were eyeing their first OVC title after winning eight consecutive matches when the season was canceled.

That title will have to wait for now, but it was still a history making last year for Belmont tennis.
