Casey-lincoln-allen-barren-monroe-metcalfe-adair-russell- cumberland-clinton- including the cities of liberty, stanford, scottsville, glasgow, tompkinsville, edmonton, columbia, jamestown, burkesville, and albany 426 am est sun feb 11 2018 /326 am cst sun feb 11 2018/ ...flood watch remains in effect until 1 pm est /noon cst/ this afternoon... the flood watch continues for * a portion of south central kentucky, including the following areas, adair, allen, barren, casey, clinton, cumberland, lincoln, metcalfe, monroe, and russell. * until 1 pm est /noon cst/ this afternoon * widespread rain will continue until this afternoon. additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.50 inches are possible through this afternoon. storm total rainfall amounts so far have generally been in the 2 to 3 inch range...with some localized higher amounts. * this much rainfall will lead to rises on area creeks and small streams, and flooding of low-lying areas. precautionary/preparedness actions... a flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. you should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
