...flood watch remains in effect from saturday afternoon through
the flood watch continues for
* portions of northeast kentucky, southeast ohio, and west
virginia, including the following areas, in northeast
kentucky, boyd, carter, and greenup. in southeast ohio,
gallia, lawrence oh, meigs, and washington. in west virginia,
barbour, doddridge, harrison, jackson wv, lewis, mason,
northwest randolph, pleasants, ritchie, southeast randolph,
taylor, tyler, upshur, wirt, and wood.
* from saturday afternoon through sunday evening
* a series of disturbances will move through the area over the
weekend, creating heavy rainfall. the potential for over 2
inches of rain exists across the watch area. the heaviest
rainfall is expected saturday night through sunday morning.
* excessive rainfall, combined with an already saturated ground
and snowmelt, may lead to flooding along streams, creeks,
rivers and in low lying areas.
