Three people were killed in Kentucky, according to the Kentucky State Police. Reports stated a man killed his wife and cousin before he was shot and killed by police.

Officials were called to a home in Wayne County, just east of Monticello, Kentucky, shortly before 9 p.m. Friday.

Paul Dolen was accused of killing his wife, Sandra, inside that home, and police said he then went to another home down the road and killed his cousin, Russel Dolen.

When police located the suspect, he was in a barn armed with two handguns and a rifle.

He fired at authorities, and they returned fire, killing him.

At last check, Kentucky State Police were still trying to determine a motive for the two murders.
