"Six years, and we've been here two weeks and this isn't the first time that Karen Bobo has been in the room with the person that killed her daughter," prosecutor Paul Hagerman said.

Hagerman's argument to the jury lasted about 50 minutes.

The defense began closing arguments by saying Adams was "100 percent innocent of all charges."

After one hour and 50 minutes, defense attorney Jennifer Thompson concluded.

Everyone was given a one hour break for lunch before the prosecution gave their closing rebuttal at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Prosecutor Jennifer Nichols gave a compelling rebuttal for about another 45 minutes. She discussed each point the Defense made in their argument, saying "she was murdered plain and simple."

At one point Nichols even held up a picture of Bobo next to a picture of her remains. She told the jury to "do what was right" and find Zach Adams guilty of premeditated murder.

"Do what needs to be done," Nichols said as she ended closing arguments.

Thursday marked the tenth day of trial in Savannah, Tennessee. Zach Adams has pleaded not guilty to kidnapping, raping and killing Bobo. Adams faces the death penalty if convicted of first-degree murder.

The jury began deliberating at 3:10 p.m. Thursday. They deliberated until 6 p.m. when the judge sent them home for the night.

Deliberations were set to get underway once again at 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Bobo was 20 when she was reported missing from her home in Parsons, located about 100 miles (160 kilometers) southwest of Nashville.

Two ginseng hunters found Bobo's remains in woods not far from her family's home in September 2014. Her disappearance sparked a massive search and the case received national attention.
