Country singer, Lee Greenwood was named as the new ambassador for the Disabled American Veterans Charity's Keep the Promise Campaign.
DAV helps connect one million veterans with healthcare, education and employment opportunities each year.
For veterans, fitting back into civilian life can be hard especially when piles of paperwork and backlogged health care system can prevent them from getting the help they need.
"They have signed a blank check for their entire life if necessary, to protect our freedom. We have a promise to them, that when they come home and they are wounded. We save a lot of them now because of advance medical procedures. We owe them," said Greenwood.
