Boy Battling Cancer Hopes For Dog, Puppy Cards

National Dog Day has been a chance to recognize all the amazing things dogs do each day. A local young man battling cancer said his dog means the world to him.

Hunter Northcutt loves his pup named Flash. Hunter’s currently undergoing intense chemotherapy for the next four to six weeks at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

He has asked for people to send him cards, which they called Puppy FLASH cards! That’s because Flash will love them, too, and Hunter has been hoping for cards that feature dogs or puppies on them to read while he's in the hospital. 

Hunter is from Pelham and was recently diagnosed with Leukemia.
