Authorities in Rowan County, Kentucky have confirmed a suspect was fatally shot by a trooper.
Those with the Kentucky State Police said the incident happened Wednesday at a home on Old Hilda Road.
According to reports, officials attempted to execute an arrest warrant on 22-year-old Matthew Brewer.
When they found him outside his home, he ran into the house then attempted to flee.
During his attempt, he pointed a firearm at a trooper. That’s when Brewer was fired on and killed.
Authorities said the incident remained under investigation.
