A fast-food employee was able to run and get help moments after two robbers burst through the door and demanded money.

The incident happened after midnight Wednesday at a Jack in the Box on Dickerson Pike.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said two masked men walked into the restaurant and demanded cash.

One of the employees ran out the back door to go and get help. There, he flagged down Metro Police officers who were on patrol across the street.

The other worker gave the robbers cash and said they fled on foot.

There were no customers inside the restaurant at the time, but the drive-thru was open 24-hours.
