NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A woman who stopped to buy gas in Nashville was startled when she returned to find a suspect sitting in her backseat.
According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, the woman went inside a service station on Haywood Lane to pay for gas.
When she returned and got back into her car, she reportedly found a suspect - identified as Charles Phillips - in the backseat. Police said he put a gun to her neck and demanded all her cash.
Phillips jumped from the car after allegedly taking $1600 from the car and ran to a nearby apartment complex.
Officers responded to the scene and witnesses helped them locate the suspect hiding at one of the apartments.
Phillips was taken into custody.
Investigators said the gun was an airsoft pistol. He's been charged with aggravated robbery.
