Body found in Cumberland River in East Nashville identified as missing man

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man's body was found in the Cumberland River in Nashville Tuesday morning.

The body was found just before 9:30 a.m. near a boat dock on the 3700 block of Moss Rose Drive.

Police said the body was identified as missing 46-year-old Kelvin Cranford, of Greenbrier. Cranford was last seen on July 20.

The medical examiner is still working determine the cause of death. There was no evidence of foul play at the scene.
