Several goats were injured and two were killed after a dog attacked the animals at Tennessee State University.

TSU officials said the incident happened Thursday night when a pit-bull mix attacked nine experimental goats at the campus's farm.

Two died and the others were injured.

A police report initially indicated the goats died from gunshot wounds, but officials said no bullets were found at the scene.

The body of one of the deceased goats was taken to Ellington Agricultural Center for a necropsy.

The dog was captured by Metro Animal Control.
