Grundy Co. High Football Game Cancelled Amid Hazing Scandal

COALMONT, Tenn. - The Grundy County High School football game was cancelled after multiple teens were charged in a reported hazing incident.

The decision to cancel Friday night's game against Upperman was made earlier in the afternoon.

School officials said there had been not yet been a decision to cancel the remainder of the football season.

Five students on the team were charged with attempted aggravated rape. 

According to the Grundy County Sheriff, the students held a freshman player on the ground and sexually assaulted him.
