PULASKI, Tenn. - The body of a missing woman was found in Giles County after an extensive search.
The body of 57-year-old Sherry Darlene Wallace was found buried in the vicinity of 60-year-old Morris Edward Crook's home in Pulaski.
The Giles County Sheriff's Office was asked to assist in the search for Wallace Friday by the Pulaski Police Department.
Crook was charged with kidnapping after being taken into custody for questioning that same day.
Ms. Wallace’s vehicle was found unoccupied on Crook's property, which prompted investigators to upgrade the investigation to a homicide.
Her body was found the next day in another area of Crook's property. The cause of death was unknown.
He is in federal custody in California and is expected to be arraigned in Sacramento.
