An early morning fire sent three people to the hospital, and almost a dozen families lost everything in the blaze.
According to WHNT, the fire was reported shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday at the Valley View Apartments in Fayetteville.
A building housing 12 units was destroyed. Officials said the fire was so intense, it was still burning almost eight hours after it was reported.
One person was treated and released at an area hospital. Two others were flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The condition of each victim was unknown.
The cause of the fire remained unknown.
