A Sumner County man was placed behind bars facing several charges after leading police on a short chase and crashing into another vehicle.
Richard Hurst, age 18, has been charged with evading arrest, driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, and underage possession of alcohol.
Authorities with the Hendersonville Police Department attempted to pull him over around 11 p.m. Friday. He took off and crashed into another vehicle.
No one was seriously injured, but West Main Street was shut down for several hours.
Hurst was being held on a $50,000 bond.
