A bizarre case led to a woman's mother, who was also babysitting her children, being charged with aggravated assault.

The incident happened at a home on Jones Park Court in Nashville.

Police said they responded to the area after neighbor's called to report a panicked woman running down the road half-naked.

According to reports, the victim’s mother had been watching the victim’s children while she donated plasma.

When the victim returned home, the mother allegedly called her a liar, met her in the driveway, and reportedly began hitting her.

According to the victim, she went inside the home where they live together to change clothes.

The victim was apparently in the middle of changing clothes when the argument continued with her mother in which the mother continued hitting her.

The victim told police she was tired of being hit, so she pushed her mother off of her.

That’s when, according to reports, the mother pulled two knives on the victim and threatened to kill her.

The mother allegedly poked the victim in the back, and officials confirmed the victim did have a small abrasion on her back.

The victim told police she then had to run from the home without wearing pants to get away.

Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the mother admitted to hitting her daughter, but did not mention a knife.

Authorities said the victim suffered several knots in her forehead and a bloody nose.

A report from officials said they prosecuted on the victim’s behalf because she refused.

The mother was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Authorities confirmed the children were not harmed.
