Officers arrested a Memphis man in connection to a Nashville murder from June.

Members of the U.S. Marshal’s West Tennessee Fugitive Task Force in Memphis arrested 29-year-old William L. Cochran Tuesday.

Cochran was indicted on a 1st degree murder charge in the fatal shooting of his friend, 44-year-old Jason McGill, in a parking lot at 800 6th Avenue South on June 29.

McGill was found dead inside his parked Audi sedan. Police said Cochran allegedly shot McGill after McGill drove him to Nashville to catch a Greyhound bus at the terminal which is near the scene.

Cochran was being held at the Shelby County Jail and will be returned to Nashville in the coming days.
